mode of action: 

ulala kills the pests by provoking rapid and irreversible feeding cessation in less than 30 minutes of ingestion. unlike neonicotinoids, it does not bind to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. 

irac has classified ulala mode of action as a "selective feeding blockers". this kind of effect is brought by the nerve controlling salivary pump situated near hypopharynx of the sucking  pests.
